Convincing AR Rahman would be a tough task for Telugu makers!

Hyderabad: It’s known to everyone that AR Rahman brings out soul-stirring divinity in his music. The notes he composes make fans go into a trance. News is that Telugu producers are looking to breathe in some fresh air, bringing some variation in their work, through Rahman’s magical melody.
Since the leading music composers in Telugu S S Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad are charging anywhere between Rs 3 crore to Rs 4 crore for each film, Telugu filmmakers are looking for a change, probably looking forward to rope in Rahman for the upcoming films in the same price bracket.
In their endeavour to take their projects to the next level, investors are not budging to spend massive amounts to woo pan-India audiences. Given that Bollywood is enamoured by AR Rahman’s tunes, south producers think it’s the best bet to rope in the Oscar-winning composer.

This apart, the buzz is that Puri Jagannadh, too, is optimistic of having Rahman on board for the next film with Vijay Deverakonda.
Audiences know that he is busy with Deverakonda for ‘Liger’. There’s another project titled ‘Janaganamana’ which is likely to flag off soon after the release of ‘Liger’.
And it’s not easy for anyone to convince Rahman unless he is also convinced by the content. There were some bitter moments experienced by Telugu filmmakers when he abruptly pulled off from Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa’ at the last minute.
